On Saturday, I posted about how I was anticipating Sunday's service at Harvest Community Church. I can tell you that I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! It was awesome! As I expected, the Holy Spirit had His way, and it was just what I needed.
Don't you love it when you go to church, and you leave knowing that you've been in the Presence of God? Nothing, absolutely nothing, compares to that! God's people worshiping Him with everything they have and all that they are, following His lead, being blessed, and being a blessing - now that's what I'm talking about! There is such freedom where the Spirit is that it helps set you free from any weight or sin that so easily entangles you. Truly, it's amazing to go to church and leave feeling empowered to do what God has called you to do.
Pastor Roy finished his series entitled "Get In The Game," and it was quite a finale. I'm truly thankful that this man of God is listening to the Lord and preaching a message in due season, a message that has stirred and admonished me, a message that has helped in perfecting and fully equipping this saint.
So, I want to leave you with a little somethin' somethin' to stir you: if you have been raised with Christ, aim at and seek that which is above, and set your minds and keep them set on what is above. We know that Jesus Christ died for us while we were yet sinners, and that He raised us up spiritually with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenlies. Now this is our place of authority. Yet so many of us live defeated and downcast. Why? I believe it's because we don't set our minds and keep them set on that which is above. We focus on earthly things and that which is happening around us.
We will never be able to truly succeed in everything that God has called us to if we don't learn to set our minds and keep them set. Believe me, this is extremely difficult for me, but I know that I'm going to keep at it. My mind can run away with me and put me in such a funk, but I am going to conquer it! I'm not going to give up and neither are you. God has given us a prescription for this in Philippians 4:6-9. (Read it in the Amplified if you can.)
So, the Lord has spiritually placed us with Him at the right-hand of the Father in heaven, but we must also set our minds there and keep them set. Renew you mind!
