Accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath. This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us]. Hebrews 6:17-18
God is unchangeable; He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Furthermore, His plan for you has not changed. The destiny He designed for your life long before you were ever even born is still the same. You may have made mistakes. You may have made a lot of mistakes. Maybe you have totally been living a wild life, without any regard to the Lord. You may have once been on the path of righteousness, living for the Lord and enjoying His fellowship, but you decided to travel the broad way and have now found yourself completely lost and near total destruction.
It matters not where you've been or what you've done; it matters where you go and what you do now! Today is the day of salvation! God has not changed His mind about you or the plans He has for your life. Sure, you may have missed out on many blessings as you've chosen to travel the broad way, but you don't have to miss any more. If you choose to let Jesus be Lord of your life, walk in the Spirit, and never turn back, God will guide you into your destiny of life and life in abundance!
Maybe you love the Lord but you know that you have not been glorifying Him in your walk, your talk, your ways, or your word. Today is a new day! His plan and purpose for your life has not changed. He has given you mighty indwelling strength so lean on Him, trust Him, and let Him guide you to light and life.
Rejoice not against me, O my enemy! When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light to me. Micah 7:8
It may not be easy, but get back on that narrow way. You are not alone! Don't let your failures keep you from your future. You must determine to press on and not stop until you've reached the Prize! Your destiny is too important to not fulfill. Flee to the Lord for refuge, and He will strengthen you mightily!
