Seek and Find

(This post is really for those who are NOT walking in full obedience to the Lord; those who are not walking in a living, thriving relationship with Jesus; those who are not controlled by the Spirit and who are not living their lives for His glory!)

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.  Jeremiah 29:11-13

God is not a riddle that can't be solved.  He is not an enigma with no answer.  When one TRULY wants to find Him or know Him, He will be found and known.  You don't have to jump through a bunch of hoops, perform some death-defying stunt, or plead with Him day and night to get His attention.

But if from there you will seek (inquire for and require as necessity) the Lord your God, you will find Him if you [truly] seek Him with all your heart [and mind] and soul and life. When you are in tribulation and all these things come upon you, in the latter days you will turn to the Lord your God and be obedient to His voice.  Deuteronomy 4:29-30

Many are wandering around in life wondering what is the purpose?  Many are surrounded by such deep despair and depression wondering if they will be happy again?  Many are bound in destructive and unquenchable addictions wondering if they will ever be free?

Then, there's the Lord, waiting on any and all to seek Him for purpose, to find His joy, and to live in His freedom.  What does it take to live with purpose, joy, and freedom?  It takes a desperate seeking, a seeking that says, "My life depends on this!"

Many want to cry out to the Lord, in their desperation, for Him to deliver them, to heal them, to save them, to forgive them, to help them, to redeem them, to rescue them.  When He seemingly doesn't answer them, they claim, "God's not real!" or "God doesn't love me!"  Yet, the lack of answer doesn't rest in God, it rests in their heart.  You WILL find Him, when you seek Him with ALL your heart!!! If you didn't find Him, it's because you are not yet desperate enough to depend upon Him for your very life.  If He doesn't answer your cry, then your haven't laid your heart, your soul, your life at His feet and said, "Here you are Lord.  It's all I have to give, but please take them, and if you can, do something with them!"

The Lord wants your life!  Nothing less will do.  And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake.  (2 Corinthians 5:15)  Truly, an exchange is in order.  He wants to take your purposeless, unhappy, bound up life and give you His purposeful, joy-filled, FREE, abundant life that He lived, suffered, died, buried, raised and ascended for you to have!!!  You must, however, seek Him with ALL your heart, your soul, your mind, and your life for then, and then only, will you find Him.
