DAY 32 Encouragement

Clear sky, bright moon, twinkling stars, a warm bonfire, and great friends - what a way to spend a night!  It was a little chilly sleeping in a tent, but it was a beautiful night.  As we sat out late into the night, listening & watching the fire, staring at the stars, and talking, my mind constantly focused on the Greatness of God.  How Great Is Our God! Sing with me, How Great Is Our God!  And all will see How Great, How Great Is Our God!

Great is our Lord and of great power; His understanding is inexhaustible and boundless.

Psalm 147:5

For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen... And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together).    Colossians 1:16,17

This Great Big God!  How awesome is He!  My eyes floated from the twinkling stars to the crackling fire, and back again.  To see Him as the great Light of the World and the Consuming Fire!  Recognizing that His love for me burns as hot as that fire with such a glow, oh what a glow!  That glorious beauty of Him that desires me and loves me with a love that cannot be quenched.   He loves me with a love that reaches the highest heights and the deepest seas.  His love is all-consuming, all-encompassing, all-powerful to heal my broken heart and cleanse me from my sin.

Can you believe it?  This Great Big God that created all things in heaven and on earth loves me, loves you!  How Great Is Our God! Sing with me, How Great Is Our God!  He deserves our highest praise, our deepest devotion, and our constant love!
