Life, Love, Liberty quote

My life has no semblance to the dreams I had from the time I was 9 years old. I can't find one aspect of LIFE that could even pass as a small interlude in my dreams and plans. Actually, the life I now live is so far removed from the reality of the life I set out in pursuit of in 1991 that it could qualify as a dream. And so, that's what I have - a Dream Life!

DAY 41 Encouragement

I can tell you that the time I've been spending in worship in the presence of the Lord has done wonders for my strength.  Today has been great!  I've felt strong, encouraged, and excited.  I know that God is about to do something good.  There is definitely one dominating aspect of the presence of God - it always leaves you wanting more!

That seems to be the very essence of God - He always leaves you wanting more, desiring more of Him, longing for more time with Him, seeking more understanding and revelation, asking for more of the Holy Spirit.  He is so good, so satisfying, that nothing else satisfies, and you just can't wait for what's next.  Every experience with Him leaves you in longing expectation of the next one.  His fragrance is so sweet, His taste so satisfying that you can't even believe it's legal. Haha!

So, why do we wait so long to spend time in His presence?  Why do we tend to leave Him till everything else is done then realize we have no time for Him?  Why do we run from the presence of the Lord?  Why do we think that the presence of the Lord is a "scary" place?  Why do we remain content with "worshiping from afar" when the real action happens in the cloud?

I'll leave you with that question to ponder... Tomorrow, I'll bring some teaching on this.  See you then!

...that times of refreshing, of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air may come from the presence of the Lord.    Acts 3:19
