Life, Love, Liberty quote

My life has no semblance to the dreams I had from the time I was 9 years old. I can't find one aspect of LIFE that could even pass as a small interlude in my dreams and plans. Actually, the life I now live is so far removed from the reality of the life I set out in pursuit of in 1991 that it could qualify as a dream. And so, that's what I have - a Dream Life!

DAY 4 Increase

In case you're counting and/or reading this everyday, you will note that I "missed" yesterday. =)  Well, I "missed" it intentionally by spending time with great friends and wonderful family!  Hope you don't mind!!

I will, however, not miss the opportunity to talk about an increase in Thanksgiving.

So that the more grace (divine favor and spiritual blessing) extends to more and more people and multiplies through the many, the more thanksgiving may increase [and redound] to the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 4:15

How many of you can say with me, "Thank God for grace!"?  Come on, all together, "Thank God for grace!"  In this passage there are 2 things that increase: grace and thanksgiving.  As the grace of God operates in our lives, we extend the grace of God to others, and as others recognize and accept the grace of God through faith, thanksgiving increases to the glory of God!

A life of Thanksgiving - how many of you live a life of Thanksgiving?  I was thinking about our day yesterday.  At our family dinner, I said the prayer before our meal, and of course, I thanked Jesus for taking care of us, providing for us, and for us being together.  I realized, however, upon pondering my thoughts and actions yesterday, I didn't really stop and "focus" on that for which I was thankful.

When I stop and think about the grace of God, I am really thankful!  He knows that I am thankful, too, because I remind Him everyday (as if He doesn't know) that apart from Him I can do nothing.  I know that I don't thank Him enough because if I spent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year thanking Him it still wouldn't be enough for all He's done, all He's doing, and all He's going to do for me.  I settled a long time ago that my words will never be able to express my THANKS to Him!

Yesterday was a wonderful day for us.  We spent the afternoon and evening with family laughing, eating, talking, eating, sharing, eating...well you get the picture.  Haha!  I truly enjoyed being with my family and enjoying our new niece who is just a couple weeks old.  Oh, how I thank God for family!  As I always say, "Family you can't live with them, but you wouldn't want to live without them."  =)

Thanksgiving - it is a powerful thing!  As thanksgiving increases in our lives, glory is attributed to our God!  Thanksgiving is the door to the presence of God!

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving!
Psalm 100:4

In His presence is the throne of grace.  As we enter His presence, we approach the throne.  His grace is extended to us exponentially, we are blessed with what we need and want we want, thanksgiving is increased to His glory, and this cycle continues on and on...as long as we are thankful!  The presence of God has and is everything we need.  We can't enter it without thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving - it is a powerful thing!
