In [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]. For you, brethren, were [indeed] called to freedom. Galatians 5:1,13
Freedom! Freedom! Now, if Christ has set you free from sin and death, why would you choose to entangle yourself in them again? Freedom! Freedom! Christ has bought us freedom, and I choose to live in this freedom. I don't take my freedom and use it to harm others or hamper others, but I live in freedom, choosing to please God instead of man and walking freely in His ways. Religion will so often try to bind us again, but not Jesus! He has set us free, and He expects us to stay free. He went through an awful lot to obtain our freedom. Let's not spit in His face again by entangling ourselves in sin or the ways of man.
And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free. So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.
John 8:32,36
There is such satisfaction in resting in the freedom of Jesus. It allows us to be who He has made us be without regard to what others think. Yet, it also grants us the ability to see others through His eyes, not the natural man but the spiritual man. Over the years, I have become compassionate and passionate about helping others live in the reality of all that Jesus has for them. Freedom is one of these things, but so many Christians still live bound up by so many things - sin, past sin, wrong thoughts, hurts, and pains. There is absolutely no reason to remain in sin, guilt, shame, hurt, or pain when Jesus lived, suffered, died, resurrected, and lives again so that we might have FREEDOM!
Ask the Lord to reveal to you His freedom. Understand that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. You will never be able to walk in true freedom without walking and living in the Spirit. Live, act, and talk like you are truly free!
