Life, Love, Liberty quote

My life has no semblance to the dreams I had from the time I was 9 years old. I can't find one aspect of LIFE that could even pass as a small interlude in my dreams and plans. Actually, the life I now live is so far removed from the reality of the life I set out in pursuit of in 1991 that it could qualify as a dream. And so, that's what I have - a Dream Life!

DAY 39 Encouragement

For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.    Romans 11:29

Hallelujah! Come on, now! Say it with me, Hallelujah!  You have not been called because of your goodness, your worthiness, or your capabilities.  You have been called because of His goodness, His worthiness, and His capabilities!  Therefore, even when you refuse to walk in the ways of the Lord, He doesn't change His mind about you.  He's still called  you, and His gifts are still for you.

Yet, what good is a call if we don't answer it, and what good is a gift if we don't open it and use it?  You catch my drift?  He doesn't resend His gifts or His call, but you will never walk in the call or operate in your gifts if you do not answer the call and open the gifts!  God's done His part.  Actually, He said, "It is finished!"  So, what are you waiting on?  There is no need to turn a deaf ear to the call of God.  It's useless to spend another day wandering in the ways of the world, like a dog returning to its vomit.  Why put yourself through another day of rejecting the call of God on your life and the precious, anointed gifts He has given you?  That is futile business right there.

I can tell you for sure that walking in the call and the gifts of the Lord is no easy task.  Oh, it is sooooooo worth it, though!  There is nothing more amazing than to watch God orchestrate your steps even when you don't realize He's doing it.  He puts just the right people, just the right resources, just the right place in your path.  Many times, it will seems as if He's doing nothing.  There are times where it seems that there is no one, no resources, no place.  Yet, truly, He is working on your behalf!

There is a time and a season for everything under the sun.  Do we have the patience and the faith to trust that God's timing is perfect?  Are we willing to set aside our preconceived and worldly mindsets?  Can we let go of our own dreams, desires, and pursuits, and begin dreaming God's dream?  Do we trust that the plans and purposes that God has for us are way better than anything we could ever dream, imagine, or think?

Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be in dying, also]. For whoever is bent on saving his [temporal] life [his comfort and security here] shall lose it [eternal life]; and whoever loses his life [his comfort and security here] for My sake shall find it [life everlasting]. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life [his blessed life in the kingdom of God]? Or what would a man give as an exchange for his [blessed] life [in the kingdom of God]? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory (majesty, splendor) of His Father with His angels, and then He will render account and reward every man in accordance with what he has done.    Matthew 16:24-27
