Life, Love, Liberty quote

My life has no semblance to the dreams I had from the time I was 9 years old. I can't find one aspect of LIFE that could even pass as a small interlude in my dreams and plans. Actually, the life I now live is so far removed from the reality of the life I set out in pursuit of in 1991 that it could qualify as a dream. And so, that's what I have - a Dream Life!

The Authority and Power of Faith and Intercession

I bet you all have been wondering what happened to me!?  Well, I've had computer problems that took down my computer the week of Christmas, and it just returned this past week.  Furthermore, with the holidays I just wouldn't have found the time to post anything new.  Instead I was lost in the swarming thoughts, plans, and  concerns going on in my head.  Haha!  I told my husband, "Next year we are doing things differently!"  We'll see about that...

Anywho, I hope you have been staying strong in the faith and experiencing some of God's awesomeness!  I am not going to continue the Days of Increase because I have been away from it for so long.  At any rate, I believe the Lord wants me to move on to something else.  I must share with you a condensed version of something that has happened.  I will not be able to share with you all of the details because it involves someone's life, and I don't want to expose all of the personal stuff...  Yet, you will get some of the God stuff!

A friend had major surgery right before Christmas, and it was expected that the recovery time from this surgery would be long and intense.  The enemy, however, tried to take her out a few days following the surgery.  The doctors told immediate family to call in all of the family because she was not going to make it.  They also called me.  I had planned on going to the hospital the next day, anyway, so we stuck with that plan.

I entered the hospital with strong faith because I knew, that I knew, that I knew that God had designed all the details of this surgery, and I knew that the enemy's plan would fail.  The family, obviously, was distraught and holding on to what little faith they could muster up.  They leaned firmly on my faith, and I encouraged them to see not with their physical eyes but with the eyes of faith.  What an awful time for a family!

Yet, God!!!!  I entered her hospital room with a sense of divine purpose.  I knew I was there for a reason.  That reason was to see the enemy defeated and the Lord to receive the glory due His Name!  I spent time talking to her (although she was in a drug-induced coma) and reaffirming with her why I was there.  I knew that she believed in the power of God and His miraculous works.  I began to sing praises and finally rested on "the Name of Jesus is lifted high, lifted high, lifted high; the Name of Jesus is lifted high in this place."  I read some scriptures the Lord placed on my heart.  I prayed and I spoke to the enemy and the infirmities to be cast down at the Name of Jesus.  Then, I spent probably 30 minutes praying in tongues.

What I did was nothing extraordinary; it was nothing out the the normal doings of any Spirit-filled, Bible-believing, power-operating believer.  I knew, however, that God's will and plans would prevail, and the enemy was defeated.

God's will did prevail, and the enemy has been defeated!  Hallelujah!  A little over a week after this day, she wanted to talk with me.  As we drove to the hospital, I pondered the "simplicity" of faith!  It really is all Him, and our job is to "blindly" believe Him and trust He Is Who He says He Is and He does what He says He will do!  When I entered her room, she gathered her thoughts - those that she had been pondering since she had been out of the drug-induced coma - and began to share with me what happened with her during all of this.

Again, I can't share it all with you because the Lord doesn't want me to just now.  I do, however, want to encourage you in your faith, in the good fight of faith.  This is such a good testimony to fighting the good fight of faith!

The long and short of it is this.  She said she was laying there and the enemy was there preparing to kill her.  She knew it was him and what he was going to do, and at that point in time, she had no power over him or could do nothing to stop him.  Then, she said there was a young girl there and she had her hand in the air.  She was praying and singing.  As my friend turned around she saw that it was me.  She said then something happened.  I began to pray in tongues.  As soon as I did that, the enemy's power to kill her was destroyed and life began to fill her body again!

Praise God!  Hallelujah!  He deserves our highest praise!  He alone is Worthy to be praised!

He has given us a weapon, a language, that the enemy cannot defend.  When we know not what to say or what to pray, He knows!  The Spirit girds us up, and speaks through us Life!

Life!  My friend is ALIVE because of faith and intercession.  God uses us to perform His Word, work the miracles, and minister the faith!  He is Worthy to be praised!!!!!
